I heard the DMR FB page had 175k likes before this story broke. Now down to about 134k in just over 12 hours. Can't imagine what their phone lines and email inboxes look like today either. Sounds like a good day to call in sick...
The register didn’t do anything wrong and the guy handled it perfectly. Only thing wrong that happened was Busch pulling support and people’s over the top reactions. Way bigger things going on in this world to actually be outraged by.
I mean, it probably counts by definition, but that's a big-ol' stretch to use here. So, when do two posts suddenly become "multiple?"

No idea. But I do know that people dig through this stuff all the time and it was going to come out sooner or later. I imagine that is why he wasn’t mad at the register bc they gave him opportunity to clear things up. Before it came out and became a thing before he had a chance to respond.Ive seen this a few places, but dont know if it is confirmed. Did the Register reach out to both Busch and Venmo for comment on the tweets, which tipped them off? We know Busch cut ties at 2 PM, so they were somehow made aware before Carson went public with his appology.

I have no idea how anyone will be a politician or celebrity when everyone who grew up with Twitter and Snapchat are old enough to be president.
So... Uh... What do you guys think about Charlie Brew-- oh, crap. Wrong thread.
I didn’t think anything was stirred up and actually thought that part of the article was good and just made the guy look better because of his response.
What's Charlie Brew? Is that what we're we'll all gonna drink now instead of Busch Light?
Agreed. That’s not beer, more like piss strained through a coffee filter.Probably should have considered doing it a long time ago because it tastes like **** but here we are.
What business example from the past can you provide where it upset the vast, vast majority of its customer base and the company somehow came out better in the end?
Just trying to understand your point that this is somehow exactly want the Reggie wanted. I think you are too quickly dismissing the critical nature of subscribers in today's newspaper business model.
If I go through with cancelling my subscription, I'll probably just gravitate to other outlets while enjoying the monthly savings. News sources are a habit....and it can be broken.
