Not to get anyone's hopes up (this is just for entertainment purposes), but best case scenario for ISU is the Sugar Bowl and it might only take the correct outcome in four Big 12 games to do it. ISU beats K-State, Oklahoma beats OSU, Kansas upsets Baylor in Lawrence, and Oklahoma beats Baylor again.
If Oklahoma wins out they have a roughly 50/50 shot at making the playoffs after the results yesterday. If they do the Sugar Bowl gets the next best Big 12 team (based on CFP committee rankings). In the most recent CFP rankings Balyor was 14 and ISU was 22. If we win at K-State and Baylor loses to Kansas and then again to Oklahoma its pretty likely we'd finish ahead of them in the last ranking of the year from the committee (we'd also be ahead of OSU in the above scenario).
