Not to get anyone's hopes up (this is just for entertainment purposes), but best case scenario for ISU is the Sugar Bowl and it might only take the correct outcome in four Big 12 games to do it. ISU beats K-State, Oklahoma beats OSU, Kansas upsets Baylor in Lawrence, and Oklahoma beats Baylor again.

If Oklahoma wins out they have a roughly 50/50 shot at making the playoffs after the results yesterday. If they do the Sugar Bowl gets the next best Big 12 team (based on CFP committee rankings). In the most recent CFP rankings Balyor was 14 and ISU was 22. If we win at K-State and Baylor loses to Kansas and then again to Oklahoma its pretty likely we'd finish ahead of them in the last ranking of the year from the committee (we'd also be ahead of OSU in the above scenario).

I think the Big 12 standings then take over- not the playoff rankings. Bu would still go with one fewer league loss and an additional win.

Playing Oregon in the Alamo would be an absolute home run.

I still fear playing Notre Dame because I am convinced that we will get screwed on multiple important calls. And all the while, the announcers will spend the entire game singing ND's praises.

It will be a nut-cup extravaganza...

The Big 12's rule is that the loser of the CCG goes to the Sugar Bowl if the winner is in the playoff.

I sure hope ISU doesn't end up in the Liberty Bowl, again.... Nothing against it, just feels like this team is better than that.

I don't understand all the hate for Orlando. My kids would love to go there for a few days. Disney is usually okay, but crowded. The kids could go to Disney while we are at the game.

I think it because for those not making a full trip of it it sucks. If we go we aren’t going to Disney or the beach. It’s a long trip into one of the ultimate suburban cities.

I'm just saying that the Notre Dame cache would make it even worse. That, along with 4 hours of slobbering, golden dome-polishing network coverage and game announcers, it could be an ugly experience.
