My issue with him is: He struggles to connect with players. Battles with McKay and Wiggy we know of that cost ISU better seasons. He has had a revolving door since he got here - plus he is not a great X' and O's coach.
Don't like losing Grill - from what i understand he grew up an ISU fan, he was going to be a solid player in a year or two. And he wants out.
Maybe Fred raised our expectations too high, but I also remember the Floyd and Larry years - this school has potential to be a constant top 25 team and a regular in the tourney.
I just don't see ISU getting back there with SP
