Our account has our tax info for 2019 but he has not contacted us if they are done yet. He's had our info since 3/28/20. I looked on the link that was on the first page of this thread on 4/15 and it said it would be deposited on 3/16. It was in our account the next morning. We did get tax refunds from the state and fed for 2018.
That's what happens when you put an underfunded organization behind a roll out in their busiest time of year with outdated resources and a severely limited staff because most of their centers are closed due to stay-at-home orders
I checked our status that was updated last Friday on the IRS site and it stated we would get the stimulus today. I checked this morning and it was already in the bank account. Pretty smooth. I also got my Fed 2019 tax refund about a week after filing on 3/23.
My Iowa refund however, I will imagine I will finally receive in 3-4 months at their going rate.

Actually, it could have went a lot worse. I haven't heard of anyone getting the wrong amount, the web site has never crashed on me, etc. In addition, how long did they have to develop this? I've seen the government screw up web sites that had months of preparation/testing.
It’s my understanding that the website crashed the first day. It still isn’t working right for a lot of people. I haven’t been able to find the status of my check.
I guess I don’t have any real solutions so I should keep my mouth shut but the idea was to get money in people’s hands. Lots of people still haven’t gotten their money.
It's an unbelievably difficult task they were given to do in a matter of weeks. A lot of people I know have gotten their money. I haven't, but that's OK. I'm sure it will get here eventually.
There is no website that's made to have (literally) tens of millions of people trying to access it simultaneously.
I didn't think that would have been the case but I got a TON of phone calls from clients whining their stimulus hadn't shown up yet. The bankers I talked to were inundated in calls from idiots who were mad their stimulus hadn't arrived yet.
It honestly makes me weep for humanity a bit when things like this happen and people are unable to be polite or patient. I got far too many nasty comments from clients that I screwed something up or they'd have their money already.
I agree that people need to be polite and patient but again the idea was to immediately get money in people’s hands. If people aren’t getting money for months then that is a failure of the program.
Immediate was never the plan. They have been saying from the beginning it would take through the summer to get everyone their money.
I'm just thankful we don't need the money right now. I can't imagine how incredibly frustrating it would be to be in need of this money and not be able to access it.
Hmm, I don't know. Sorta. You must have missed that press conference with trumpy and the munchkin. They acted like everyone would have it in a week.
Yeah, I didn't listen to Trump. I read the distribution schedule the IRS put out. If anyone is giving any creedence to what Trump says at this point I have some swamp land in Florida I would like to sell you.
