It seems like we have multiple guys that can beat their defender off the dribble, and we now have guys who have shot overall well in their college career from beyond the arc. We don't need a great playmaker to be a good team next year. We had the best playmaker maybe to ever play ball at Iowa State last year and we flat out stunk.
I don't know how good of a PG Harris will be but the reason he cited for coming here was for a chance to go back to his natural position. I do know when he was recruited over at Memphis he was still talented enough to remain in their starting lineup despite being 5'9.
You are 100% correct we stunk last year even with Haliburton. That's why Prohm cleaned house. Of the 4 returning that played last season it's likely 2 could have diminished roles and Bolton won't be forced to take on such a high volume role.
Bottom line Harris was a quality recruit as a prep and has done nothing to diminish that. Sure I wish he was 6'2 but he's made 5'9 work.
