I was in Minneapolis. Again, I think I just define lockdown differently than you.

The midwest was much slower or more resistant to enact stay at home orders. But there are a lot of cities outside the midwest, and I can tell you, the environment was much different than normal. There were very few places you could go. It wasn't just NY and LA.

There were no "breweries or restaurants" open in major cities. It was a restrictive environment that was very noticeable. My group of friends didn't get together until late June. The pandemic started taking effect in March in the U.S.

Yeah there were. I got food and beer from all my favorite restaurants and breweries near me. I saw my friends on Zoom calls and a couple from a distance outside during this time. I am not saying I had the time of my life but people are acting like we were locked in our houses and that it was a miserable time. It was only a couple months too.

I never said it wasn't different from normal. All I am saying is people whine about the "lockdowns" and wanting to be able to go out and do stuff way too much.

This is exactly the point I am trying to make. It wasn't how I would have wanted to spend a couple months but it really wasn't some total awful lockdown that some people try to make it out to be.

I'm sure if you lived downtown in one of the big cities in a smaller apartment, you felt pretty darn confined.

I'm only talking about my experience. Were there cities where you couldn't leave your house? I guess I don't recall that. I thought pretty much everywhere you at least had the option of being outside.

I guess all I'm saying is let's not act like it was some end-of-worlds situation where we were all left hiding in some dark corner of our homes.

Yeah you could be outside but go where? Many places closed all public parks and beaches. And if you lived in the city, there were not many other places you could go.

Are you serious? A lot of U.S. cities closed everything but grocery stores, pharmacies, and a couple other essential businesses. Bars were closed and restaurants were takeout only. I'm not sure what bubble you were in in March and April. I did almost nothing outside my apartment except exercise. It was a lockdown, and it's why millions of Americans lost their jobs.

I work with people on Wall Street every day. Almost every single one that doesn't have childrem has moved to a family/relatives house outside of NYC or taken occupancy in the Hampton's since May. They got SOOO sick of being locked down in their 400 sf studios
