You are in your living room. I think you can control that . . .
Pretty sure she was at the game.

Yep. And I’m disappointed that I haven’t gotten more of a reaction about this . I essentially saw the beginnings of a porn video staring two people who were old enough to know better and including the women’s mother sitting right next to them.

Two of the long OU runs were when they ran a shovel pass to the back, he slides up into the line, making everyone think its a passing play, and then the QB tosses it to him underhanded. The LBers are all in their drops, making a huge hole in the middle of the field. Nice thing about the play is if the back fumbles the ball, its just an incomplete pass.

ISU needs plays like this in their playbook, too. With Hall's success OU was biting hard at play action and throwing that in there would add a level of mind fuckery in giving defenses something to think about.

Dude I am happy that the offense figured it out late into the game and we won.

But it was nerve raking with all those miss opportunities in the red zone. If he had lost, I bet the multiple podcasts would have highlighted the lost opportunities

Also, why weren't you watching the on field action? That had me more excited than any porn.

No issues that I noticed at the game. Gate #5 traffic was comfortable going in, a bit cramped heading out. Everyone was masked up in the Section 6 area. They definitely did not space us 6 ft apart, but didn't have any concerns. Nice to not have to wait 1.5 hrs to leave the parking lot. I'll be doing it again next Saturday!

That is not the type of play you would want to run with LBers biting and coming up to fill the gaps. Its also difficult to run against a 4 man line, ISU in a 3 man Dline makes for bigger holes.

The best play that OU ran last night was the TD's to the FB, the left guard and tackle pulled out to the left, play action the back to make it look like a run to the left, and the FB slides to the right in front of the back. He then squats like he is blocking backside, and gets lost in the wash. Then slides out to the right. Every one has cleared up field, Bailey was confused on the second play, slid up, and let the FB run right past him. If he goes with the FB, then the QB should have an open lane on the right outside to get yards. Just a difficult play to defend unless your are playing zone, and the corner sits and then picks up the FB.

I haven't re-watched the game, but what seemed to work on the play was how after the linebackers bit on the run fake, they all bailed on the play as an obvious passing situation, I think one ISU LB may have even turned his back to the ball to get after the wideout/TE going across the middle, and the tailback was able to easily operate in space after they vacated it. My thought was that using this occasionally, whether as effective as OU was with it or not, knowing you have a tendency to make that pitch might delay the coverage LB enough to make for easier pitch and catch on those moderate routes over the middle.
