Wow, Purdy's career record is 16-6 in Big 12 games. Unreal for an ISU QB.
What I think is crazy is we have an ISU Coach now 7-6 in November the last four years and people are asking what’s wrong.
Last 4 years in Oct/Nov: 20-8.

Very entertaining game. Nice to be in first place. One question - when we kicked the field goal, we had a 3rd and 10 and we ran the ball up the middle for no gain. Cambell went berzerk. What was he mad at? Bad play call by TM? Bad blocking? Missed call by ref? My guess was Manning was trying to avoid another error by Purdy when he made that play call.

Probably pissed like all of us with the crap stretches of bad playcalling.

Assuming he was not happy with Manning on that call.

Early in the game they were pretty chippy.

Didn't have much starch left in them by end of the night.

Hate to see anyone get hurt but we are becoming a pretty physical team.
This is an interesting point. Tonight was an example where I can clearly see our strength and conditioning program has officially been UPGRADED.

Baylor is not out there with 2 star patsies and they had guys getting helped off the field all night, and I don't believe we had anyone get hurt. We are starting to play like the bullies of the North, and I freaking love it. We will never be a track team of speedsters, but we can be that WI style team that beats people up, plays complementary football and is well coached! I'm starting to see an identity form in our program.

Time to get a stud 4 star RB from the HS or juco ranks to replace Breece in next year's class. Maybe that guy is Jihrehl Brock if he stays, hope he does.

The problem, right or wrong, he was 13-2 in Oct and before tonight 6-6 in November the last 3 yrs. Honestly, no big wins in Nov. Tonight was nice. The next 3 games could be special.

Ugly first half, but in the end, we pulled it out. I am concerned about the level of play by Purdy and why we cannot come up with a better game plan when everyone is keying on Hall, every time he touches the ball.
Overall I thought the O line played better, in the end, we did enough to win the game. In the grand scheme of things that is all that matters.

I know why the question is asked, but it shows what a different world ISU football is in. 5 years ago every fan would take being at or over .500 in November in a heartbeat. Now the Alabama and Clemson level success in October makes being .500 seem like a big problem.
