TOE does have the better team this year, but after reading some of these posts, you'd think we are going up against the '86 Boston Celtics.
Hope the young Cyclones come out and play hard and give them a good game.

Remember how Iowa was terrible a few years ago (#86 on BT in 2018) but now they're #3 nationally?

Heck, that team had JoBo and Garza on it.

Funny how a "bad" coach in an "unsolvable" situation can turn it around with one or two key players.

Problem here is that ISU is like the '87 Clippers.

I’m hoping to see guys like Johnson/JCL/Bolton at least try to drive on Garza and get him into foul trouble to disrupt their gameplan. Hard to see that happening, but what do you have to lose?
The problem with this is, they would have to call fouls on him and this doesn’t happen. Calling his traveling would also help, but that doesn’t happen

He doesn't get foul calls on him because he doesn't move. He just puts his arms up and rebounds. The zone is the only system he works in. (Got to hand it to CFC for figuring this out and going to all zone defense).

I feel like it’s the OU game and it’s not even close? Haven’t looked at the results, but are people seriously saying this game?
I agree, just from a volatility standpoint. Big upsets happen much less often in Football (See Top 3 teams records past 3 seasons). Even the best college basketball teams get beat, and at a much higher rate than top football teams.

I can't see us coming close here. We have a team that needs to gel that probably isn't the best anyway.
only had 2 games to iron out kinks, etc.

ISU ~65 to ~90 EIU

That's not true. He gets away with a lot of body contact on defense and elbows on offense.

As the sports cliche goes, "You never know what's gonna happen."
But even that cliche doesn't work in this case.
This is as bad matchup for ISU as I can remember since I began watching ISU bb in 1993.
