There won't be much of a coaching carousel this year, at least at Power 6 schools. Iowa State will be the best job available this off-season unless something crazy like Roy Williams retiring happens.

Prohm leaving now or in 3 weeks won't have any bearing on who is interested in coming here.

i think that’s why BC pulled the trigger so soon

Yeah, they probably feel they need to get out ahead of a few programs like Iowa State. I dont have an issue with Prohm finishing the season.

We will be the hottest job this off-season so Pollard has the luxury of waiting. I looked at alot of the other Power 6 coaching situations and I don't see alot of competition for us in the coaching search. Pollard will have the top pick to choose from .

I’m hoping Marquette does not open.

There are a lot of people that struggle with context on here. You can spend your time tying to explain the difference of someone coming in to a total rebuild and in year 2 vs a guy who took over a stable program who inherited a top 10 team and is now at the bottom in year 6, but it’s like trying to talk to a wall. Some just completely don’t understand the difference for some reason.
I think a lot of people do understand it but are willingly ignorant because TJ was with Fred and this site has a large amount of people who treat him like he's literally the anti christ.

Thoughts on Craig Smith from Utah State? Midwest guy who has won everywhere he’s gone.

Apologies in advance if he’s name has been mentioned, didn’t feel like digging through a 172 pages

Kstate might open. Nc state. Washington coaches in third year and not great results. Plus someone will retire or take an NBA bailout job (Bill Self?). So just assuming you are the best job is a bad way to do coaching hires, but this is Pollard.

Yeah, that's a possibility. Collins might be out of a job at NW also but I feel like Iowa State is better than those 2 jobs.

I was watching Northwestern and they said he just signed a deal and Collins isn’t going anywhere and has a young team coming back.

K-State would be complete idiots to fire a guy who has been to an Elite 8 and won a Big 12 championship in 3 years. I donr see Keats leaving either, he has 3 straight 20 win seasons and has them alot better off now than when he took over NC State.

True. Weber isnt loved in Manhatten. I know that for a fact. I agree on Keets, but you never know what jobs will be open I guess is my point, so dont wait, especially if this is already a foregone conclusion. Cut bait and move on.

The view in Manhattan is that the lows of the valleys that Weber takes them to are unacceptable

Bruce had been getting us big 12 tournament tickets the last three years. Year before last he pulled my wife and I's tickets because we had ISU gear on and his PA saw. Was all good just funny he didnt realize we were ISU for all the years prior.
