I was hoping for the Baylor assistant coach, but I am ready to get behind coach TJ or whatever we will call him. He has proven to be a much better recruiter than Prohm . He was part of some really good ISU teams before he left. There's no reason he can't be successful here. This should work out better than the Prohm hire.

You have no idea what you’re taking about. The roster issues are on TJ. He was more McDermott than Hoiberg in that regard. And it was about to get worse.
He spent two years at UNLV. Inherited a team. First was decent and, on purpose, he cleaned house in year two. Starting point guard was injured for the year.

Plus, I recall, his wife is good looking!

Exactly! His doing.

Cleaning house in year 2 on purpose. Gulp.
Some more “cleaning” was about to occur- at least when he was fired after Year 3 the place would have spotless.

TJ isn’t worse than Morgan and Prohm. Those two won at some level, but let’s not whitewash his time at UNLV.

check out @trentcondon twitter feed for a conspiracy theory about the two videos being done on the same day.

I wonder if this low level media guy works as hard to discredit other schools in the state? Is he pretty unbiased generally? BTW, didn't realize KXNO was still on the radio.

According to JP, Covid shut down the program for a while. I know TJ had COVID and they started 1-6. Covid likely led to some of the bad start IMO.

We have more than a handful here.
I don't think so. I think once the hire is a few days old, even the hardest core against the hire will fall in line.

However, I don't think that some will be very forgiving if TJ struggles, especially after the first year.

JP said that Covid shut down the basketball team. IIRC he said it was for 33 days. Shut down on December 15 after TJ caught Covid. For over a month. Let’s put some perspective on this season at UNLV.

He's got to show something in year 1. Not a tourney bid or anything but competence and effort would be great. That would go for any coach we hired.
