So insane that an industry killed by covid is charging these prices. We used to go to Vegas every year from either CR or DSM and it was like $190/pp
We are going to take over the city that weekend. Daytime temps in the 90s. Looking forward to this as we didn’t get to go to a bowl game last year.
Vegas is a little different than other towns. They're completely used to big crowds coming in for events. ISU fans will be visible, but it won't be a takeover by a long shot.We are going to take over the city that weekend. Daytime temps in the 90s. I agree (and hope for) this. I believe that airlines will add flights since they should have planes available due to the currently reduced flight scheduled. I have a companion pass and a couple credits but they are all with Delta so I’ll hold out for a while. The bummer is that all of the the Delta flights currently available are in flight classes that don’t permit the use of the companion pass.I bet prices go down as airlines start to offer more flights. I used to take this flight all the time for conferences, and never paid more than $350 for it. Promised my son 3 years ago when we saw this game that we would go, so I guess it is what it is.
I wish it wasn't during the Life is Beautiful festival to really show off how much of an impact we can make. And the prices would be half what they are which means more people would probably go
So what's the word on game tickets? Do we have a shot being a NCC member?
Game tickets will be easy, the stadium seats 65,000. UNLV cannot sell a ton of season tickets.
There is ALWAYS a convention or 5 going on in Vegas, this won't really add much to it.
Did you go last time? It seemed like we were more that a blip and sounds like this one is going to be bigger. There is ALWAYS a convention or 5 going on in Vegas, this won't really add much to it.
The plan is they block of the upper decks bringing it down to the 35k range. I'm still not worried about getting tickets though.
That's where I'm staying love that place has a rooftop pool which is pretty cool.Marriot Grand Chateau is a great place to stay. The property is non-smoking and does not have casino. However, it’s only a block off the Strip so you can easily walk to the casinos. Plant Hollywood is virtually across the street. All the rooms are villas with kitchens and the rates are reasonable for what you get. Stayed there a half dozen times, and love the place.
As far as gambling, my go to spot is the El Cortez in downtown Vegas. It‘s the only place I have found that offers $5 blackjack with a single deck that pays 3/2 on blackjack. You won’t find that on the Strip, unless you bet $25/hand. Plus, nearly all the places on the Strip require $15/hand and only pay 6/5 on blackjack.
Going out with several family members to cheer on the Cyclones and celebrate my retirement. Should be a blast.
There's a local brewery there and they have a jalapeño Hefeweizen and it's really good. I recommend trying that one.Yeah, whenever I go somewhere, I like to dip into the more local beers
