It’s all good. I’m sure Craig Smith would have been able to X and O’s his way out of a starting lineup of Jackson, Johnson, Walker, Conditt and some transfer from Arkansas Pine-Bluff.

Well, if there was a coach who might be able to pull it off...

How is his recruiting class going for Utah?

Utah has no commitments for 2022 while TJ already has Lipsey.

Yeah, I think TJ is winning this battle.

If kept in his correct position (small forward), with less ball handling responsibilities, I think he makes for a nice piece at 15-20 minutes a game. He's definitely not a point forward.

He had a few nice games. He scored 21 in Austin, for instance, with an ORTG of 119.7 and TS of 60%.

He had a few other nice games, but he just bricked shots so hard most game he wasn't really playable.

Which kind of sucks for a guy who was sold as a shooter...

FR = 40.8%
SO = 33.6%
JR = 26.6%

Taking 94 threes while shooting a 26.6% clip isn't viable in the Big 12.

I still think that was part of his role since we had limited scorers, and I think the staff allowed him to chuck a few more than they should have.

Thought I saw he would turn 23 before next season starts. Could be wrong on that, just Twitter stuff.

He'll be 22 before next season. I think they are saying he'd be a 23 year old NBA player if he stayed next season.

It's not a world beating lineup, but there are several options at the very least and depth should not be an issue. Might be enough for me to predict 5-6 wins in next years Big 12.

Would .500 overall be too much to ask in year one?

But why do the new ISU basketball program commitment graphics use duplicate offset layers of the word "Commited"? Why must they create a visual "shaken" effect? Is the student-athlete a bit shaky and not 110% committed? What does it all mean?

P.S. Welcome, Tristan. Let's kick some butt in Hilton.

UCONN 2011 had walker starting; 2014 had Boatright and Napier starting.

My bas on UCONN. But the Baylor point is still true. You can easily have a 2022 lineup with smaller guards if you have guards who can rebound, are tough and are dynamic scorers.

Just because we have 3 top recruit guards coming in. Doesn't mean 2 of them are starting as Freshman. Kalscheur may come back for 2022/23. If we land Fletcher. You likely have Hunter, Kalschuer, Fletcher Enarna and Foster starting for a top 25 team.

Common theme in most of these new commit shops. Same with the “into the Spider-verse” effects on the player/jersey. Takes your eyes of the shopped jersey in the player, creates more noise in your mind.

Not sure why you felt the need to pump up Steve in a thread where the new coach landed a great recruit but notice my post said "a couple of those guys" would still be around.

Maybe it's because of this..............

Seems like the writing is kind of on the wall for the Prohm guys, I think TJ will give them a shot

Was there a need to qualify players like Foster, Hinson and Hunter as "Prohm guys"? Because by saying you think TJ will "give them a shot" based solely on that almost lowers TJ to the level of his mindless groupies on this site by making it personal with Steve. TJ is a lot of things.....good recruiter, nice guy, ? as a head coach......but please don't make the mistake he has it in for anything Steve Prohm.
