Seems like the writing is kind of on the wall for the Prohm guys, I think TJ will give them a shot but it wouldn't shock me if by this time next year, all but a couple of those guys have moved on. The competition for PT next seasons is going to be fun to watch. It almost seems like the staff plans of having all 13 spots duke it out. I imagine Hunter starts but other than Kalsheur, I'm not sure anyone has a starting spot locked down at this point. There are a lot of minutes still up for grabs.

To be clear, Hunter is also a prohm guy. As is Foster.

Not only is the just the simple net talent better, the pieces sure seem to fit way better in terms of roles, starting with having a highly ranked, albeit FR true PG. It is really hard to win without good PG play.

Obviously there's a lot of turnover, a new staff, and a young roster, but this will be more the norm across the sport. A lot of teams are faced with tons of turnover, so it's not as a big a disadvantage as it used to be.

I still think the tourney is very much a long shot, but what started out with several big "Ifs" that pretty much all had to happen to have a chance, now it's starting to trim those down with every new commitment TJ gets.

TJ is just hitting it out of the MFing park so far.

Foster wouldn’t be here for Year 2 if Steve was still here. But he did get him signed.

Yeah, I’m guessing you are right. And good on TJ for keeping them around but prohm did manage to get them here.

Is it too much to ask now to land Eli King and a 6'9" Marcus Fizer esque power forward (Id be ecstatic for Fletcher as well clearly). Looking ahead a couple of years down the road the ability to play both big and small would be ridiculous.

Small Ball:
G - 6'1" Hunter
G - 6'2" Lipsey
G - 6'3" King
F - 6'9" Enaruna
F - 7' Foster

Big:
G - 6'1" Hunter/6'2" Lipsey
G - 6'3" King
F - 6'9" Enaruna
F - 6'9" Power Forward/Fletcher
F - 7' Foster

All of the above being top 75ish level talents as well just ridiculous! TJ doing work!

Way up there

Not sure why you felt the need to pump up Steve in a thread where the new coach landed a great recruit but notice my post said "a couple of those guys" would still be around.

I wouldn’t even be in this thread if I hadn’t been called out. Talk to roch.

Haven't read posts just throwing this out here. Cousin is a KU grad. Said Self, for reasons unknown, kept this guy on a short leash. Didn't let him play through ANY mistakes. Despite that, showed flashes of brilliance. Thinks he can be special for us if Otz just lets him play.

He was playing in the video that ISU Basketball recently put out on twitter.

I think he may have been practicing at the end of last season as well?
Any guesses on what starting 5 will look like pending final scholarship spot?
My thoughts so far would be:
1 - T. Hunter
2/3 - G. Kalscheur
2/3 - J. Johnson (Or Enaruna)
4 - B. Hinson
5 - G. Conditt (Or Foster)
At the very least, we should be a lot better defensively.

I think of small ball as (1) player at 6-2 ish and the other 4 players 6-5 to 6-8 with no true center. I don't see how you play 3 guys 6-3 and under in the big 12.
