I've been to vegas twice MGM and Bellagio - what's so bad about Luxor? I picked it because it was a cheap option within walking distance. TBH, I don't care much about the room, probably won't spend a ton of time in it other than sleeping.
Let me make this clear, there is basically nothing wrong with any casino/hotel ON the strip in Vegas. (Circus Circus excluded lol) There's just certainly different tiers.
When it comes to MGM properties, Luxor is near the bottom for a couple reasons. They are so far south that it's kinda far away from "the action" but when it comes to the stadium they are close so that might be a moot point. It is one of the more dated casinos especially the pyramid rooms. The Tower Rooms are pretty good and just got a furniture upgrade in 2020 I believe (though there is debate that they might have been hand me downs from Bellagio). The Eqyptian theming is all but gone on the inside, which I thought was the worst thing they could've done for something so unique.
Their pool is pretty great though and also lowkey which I think will fit a lot of ISU fan's mold. Not a throng of kids like next door at Excalibur.
You got a solid room for a great price most likely and there will be nothing wrong with it. But if you explore and see the other vibes of the other casinos you'll see what we mean by different tiers.
