And the SEC won't shut them out.
Yes, of course. But even so, the pipe dream that they would doesn't change the fact that the conference is done.
And the SEC won't shut them out.
Its the academic people who are snobs. The sports folk are cool. When Toledo played at the Shoe, the osu fans were very nice and actually multiple times saw my Toledo shirt and said they were lucky to win.I am eating crow if we end up in the conference. I always thought the Big Ten had the attitude that we are better than you and we "do things the right way" with a kind of snobbery. That being said, I guess I can accept being a college sports snob lol.
ISU, KU => Big Ten
Texas, OU => SEC
WVU => ACC to give them 16 teams.
Tech, OSU, KSU, TCU => Pac 12 to become the pac 16.
Baylor to the Sun belt is my hope.
PAC 12 Presidents aren't taking TCU, KSU or Baylor in a million years. They MIGHT hold their noses and take OSU and TT but I'd put the odds at less than 50/50. The PAC12 Presidents are by far the most powerful group in relation to the ADs and Athletics people in all of college sports.
Palo Alto, Berkley, Westwood and Boulder aren't associating themselves with Manhattan or anything with any hint of religion.
Also there is going to be a move to streaming services and if they don't think ISU fans would buy streaming services to watch games then they are mistaken. ISU fans are a very loyal and supportive group and I know I'd pay $10 a month to watch football and basketball games on a streaming service and I'd think a hell of a lot of others would as well.During the last round of realignment. Because cable markets mattered more then.
Now we're back to eyeballs mattering. Exciting rivalry games draw eyeballs.
Screw them. Hope the fault splits open and the West Coast falls into the ocean. Then, the Big 12 would have their choice of the inner left schools.PAC 12 Presidents aren't taking TCU, KSU or Baylor in a million years. They're faced with irrelevance if they don't do something. Expansion into the central time zone could be important for them.
Would the mid tier teams or below really get any better with $75 million vs $55 million?anyone voting no for TX and OU to join the SEC is voting for less money than if they voted yes for them to join.
Look at your list again ... which of them votes for less money?
Unless, as I pointed out earlier, the league disbands because everyone finds a new more stable and lucritive home. But, then again, I'm not familiar with the terms of the B12 GOR.There's not going to be a buyout. Texas & OU will play out the Big 12 string and then move on.
I was wondering that…. Makes most sense (not that that matters). Allows ramp up to knowing what the SECESPN model is, meaning we aren’t “in” anywhere until that settles.There's not going to be a buyout. Texas & OU will play out the Big 12 string and then move on.

Learn to swim, see you down in Arizona bay!Hope the fault splits open and the West Coast falls into the ocean.
It would take a majority of votes to disband the league. If ISU and KU find their way into the Big 10 then that's 4. Find a home for 2 more.Unless, as I pointed out earlier, the league disbands because everyone finds a new more stable and lucritive home. Also, if the league stays in tact, 4 years is a long time to penalize TX and OK with whatever leverage the B12 office has AND it's the perfect amount of time to court Google, Amazon, Facebook, Twitter, Apple, Microsoft, and the list goes on... Which, in turn, may put the B12 back in play for poaching. This is one wild ride.
A&M, Mizzou and Arkansas are all likely to block Texas and OU. Most of the SEC East would be foolish to let them in.
They can leave right now. The league still gets their TV money for 4 years.Not a chance they stick around for four more years. The damage has already been done. They'll lawyer up and get out by next season
I'll say only Mizzou blocks this. A&M will come around when they realize how much money they'll make.they won’t. ESPN will tell them what to do.
Of course NOT literally, because boy would ESPN be in legal trouble. But, I'm sure 'back-channel' they'll spin a story of more profit.they won’t. ESPN will tell them what to do.
