Can anyone give me an idea of what the resort fees cover generally/if I have to pay for everyone in the room or if like 2 of of the 4 of us will able to fly under the radar?

Anyone starting to worry about the Vegas trip? Just a few weeks away and Covid is running wild again. I will hate having to wear a mask everywhere we go.

I didn't realize resort fees changed with number of occupants. I would totally lie. Resort Fee's are the devil and should be outlawed.

It's per room unless you exceed occupancy but you're more likely to get kicked out than charged more. But in reality they probably wouldn't do anything at all unless it's really egregious like 8 people in a single room.

What you get out of it varies per hotel but generally, fitness, pools, internet, phone calls, are the big ones. My favorite is the Mandalay Bay including access to a freaking Notary as part of the fee.

Here's Cosmo's benefits to the resort fee as an example:

Standard high speed internet access
Unlimited local, toll-free and domestic long distance phone calls
Fitness center access
Tennis court access
Hotel guests receive complimentary self and valet parking

To follow on. Here's a table with what the resort fee is plus what you get out of it from the major categories. There's ones not listed like some places give you 10% off starbucks and stuff

Does anyone have a post going or have any knowledge of the tailgating situation at Allegiant Stadium? I am trying start lining up my plan of attack and haven't seen much information. I would love to be able to setup with all the other fans with the same idea.

The official tailgating is going to happen at "stadium walk" behind the Luxor. The issue is I haven't seen any info about cars being allowed in just a bunch of tents for catering and whatnot.

So is this a bring your own cooler and busch light, party with friends, play bags type thing? Or is this a buy the drinks they provide and what not?

I was hoping to have a spot for all the fans to bring their own coolers of beer and have their own little tailgate party? Me and my group were going to go to Walmart and find some cheap tailgate games to bring to play as well. But maybe this is a pipedream. I forget that it's Vegas and the parking lot will be boiling lava hot during the middle of the day.

It’s more of buy their stuff for sure.

The issue is the information on tailgating is spotty because there hasn’t been any tailgating yet. Last year they disallowed it.

There will be 6000 spots around the stadium. No idea if any of that is public public. Otherwise your best bet might be to get a group going and park on top of Mandalay Bay’s parking deck.

I've never really understood hotel snobbery on the Vegas strip. I basically think of the strip as one giant hotel complex. Find the cheapest room along the strip and then just go wherever you want to enjoy amenities. (staying with in a single property to get comp points if that is a priority to you).

A hotel room is a hotel room and if you are spending a lot of time in your room you are doing Vegas wrong. Stay where it's cheap and walk across the street to the nice place. (Note crappy properties on the extreme ends for the strip do have disadvantages).

I'm not much of a exhibitionist, where else am I supposed to do my hookers and blow?

I was just in Vegas this past weekend and their mask mandate is basically masks indoors and anything outside is optional. Most people wandering up and down the Strip were not wearing masks.

I’d say 85% of people inside the casinos were masked up, but if you want to be that guy you can wander around wearing your chin diaper or with your mask in your pocket. I didn’t notice any casino staff stopping people and asking them to put a mask on. My guess is if you sit down at a table to play something without a mask, you’ll be asked to put one on.

If your plan is to drive and park at the stadium, be prepared to spend $50 to $100 to park. Also keep in mind, even if tailgating is allowed at the stadium (which I’m not sure it is), hanging out on an asphalt parking lot from 1 to 6:30 pm when it’s 110 degrees outside isn’t a lot of fun. Trust me, I live in Phoenix and have tried to tailgate at ASU and U of A games in the past. It’s brutal. The November tailgates are amazing!!! September though…..prepare to melt.
