As a Big 10 guy, I like the idea of ISU coming into the conference. It would make things better for the state IMO.
You see. That is why I like you. No snarky opinions. Just good logic. Thanks!I think it would make sense for the existing PAC to pursue ISU and Okie St.
I see what you mean now, but I guess my assumption is either way, any significant expansion would essentially be negotiating from scratch rather than really using either league's current deal as much of a baseline.
Plus I think the teams with the power and leverage here are USC, Oregon above all, and they would prefer of the two to be a PAC plus a few Big 12 rather than the other way around.
Plus, minus an NFL team the aggregate fan base is better. As a Big 10 guy, I like the idea of ISU coming into the conference. It would make things better for the state IMO.
Just their pride which is steep in the B1G.There is no way the PAC can stay idle because they have ran out of ways to grow. IMO people are also underestimating the Fox influence in all of this. If/when the Big 12 blows up, they will need the tv inventory but they also need to keep the BTN viable or that starts to hemorrhage money. There will be valuable timeslots up for grabs and when you get down to it, I don't think Iowa State or Kansas costs the other schools money.
We can all piss on each other all we want at times, but ISU being good is good for the state. More people coming into the state also helps the economy of Iowa a bit with hotel, restaurant, exposure to different cities etc. Think about a Wisconsin coming to Iowa 2x in a year and what that would do for IC and Ames. Instead of a TCU or WV. I am just trying to think of the positives. I think that is why Iowa would vote yes to this in the long run. It helps both teams.Plus, minus an NFL team the aggregate fan base is better.
If you think about it from anything other than athletics, ISU fits. ISU also does not move the needle with a OU or Texas type move, but do they have to? It will make travel easier for more regional games also.
The thinking with BTN exposure for ISU is a bad take IMO. the state of Iowa already has exposure to that from every provider. BTN is like having ESPN and FS1.Just their pride which is steep in the B1G.
Lol, excellent content here. That’s all good but the tan ******** in $5000 suits listen to the dickfors in accounting that go home every day and booby trap noobs in Minecraft via their $1000 gaming keyboards until 3am.

Normally your posts are antagonistic and biased. But, not this one. Good job!We can all piss on each other all we want at times, but ISU being good is good for the state. Exactly my point with the KC market thing.Plus, minus an NFL team the aggregate fan base is better.
How do you know we're not positioned appropriately? How come JP didn’t see this coming and position us appropriately?? We’ve been on a perp walk/death March since the last time Texas threatened this back in what, 2009/2010???
We are saddled with debt that we may not be able to repay. We may require a taxpayer bailout. I fear for our D1 status. We can’t afford to cut any sports. We need a revenue injection or it’s going to be difficult to compete.
I wasn't sure but had the feeling thinker was back peddling a bit. But that's fine his stance makes more sense now than it did before.Found Jon Miller!!!!!
And whoop their ass in conference every year.I will happily put up with years of “Well if it wasn’t for us your program would’ve died, we saved you, etc.” from Hawkeye fans if it means we get to be in the B1G.

Are Kansas City fans really watching Jayhawks football?
Would also be a more solid rationale for development, such as the proposed entertainment district. This is a solid post. Having actual people attend games is really good for the economies of all involved. Having people that can actually go to games regionally brings money to the city.
