Hate to say I told you so but…
If you think this proves something, then ...o wait, never mind.

Won’t hurt recruiting in state. The hawkeyes have been shown as being very pathetic coaches and people so we are way ahead there.A lot of Pac 12 journalists actually said Houston would be their #1 target but that’s all speculation. I just don’t want this garbage hanging around for a year or two and hurting recruiting. It’s a rough spot to be in.

All-you-can-eat fire-roasted meat. It's terrific. You don't have to eat for about a week afterwards.Sounds too fancy for me.
There's a Fogo de Chao just down the block from their offices. I was hoping they'd offer to take us all out to dinner.
It is but you barely have room for it.That salad bar is top cheese.

The problem with the SEC trying to go after Clemson and FSU is there's something like 15 years left in their GOR. If you thought it was going to be expensive to buy OU and UT out with nearly 5 years left in the Big 12 GOR, think how much more expensive it'll be to go after the ACC right now.
I mean, you're right - the SEC absolutely wants to tear the alliance apart because it's their goal to 100% control college football (Tennessee said as much yesterday). I'm just saying it's not going to be anywhere near as easy as trying to add Clemson and FSU because they're locked up for a long time. USC could be a different matter, but have they ever indicated they wanted to leave the Pac 12? That's a turd that's been thrown against several walls lately and I've never even heard any indication that they're even interested.

Agree, and it’s showing up in their recruiting. It's rough, but not as bad as having a racist coaching staff and an AD who has cost your university MILLIONS in lawsuits for gender discrimination. Now that's rough.
Like I said in my original posts, it’s all speculation. There are a couple of others too but I’m not digging them up because irrelevant click bate like most realignment stuff. We will see what the Big 12 does. My vote is stay at 10 until the 2 traitors leave and then hopefully find a better landing spot.Proof that we reached the point of "throwing anything at the wall to see what sticks" some time ago...
because irrelevant click bate
What kind of moron are you?
Just a troll asking questions.Like I said in my original posts, it’s all speculation. That’s right up there with the idea that Rutgers would give the Big Ten the NYC market, and at least the Big Ten had a strategy with milking subscription fees for BTN."the overwhelming consensus among industry sources is that the conference will stand on 12.
But the Hotline endeavors to examine all major issues from every possible angle.
To that end, we imagined an alternate universe in which the Pac-14 was deemed inevitable."
Ok. One "journalist" imagined an alternate universe and decided he wanted Houston as his first choice.
This means " A lot of Pac 12 journalists actually said Houston would be their #1 target " in your mind?
Is that right? His analysis is not particularly impressive, either.
You are definitely right about the bolded but I just don't see a GOR extension happening if there is any chance left that the other power leagues would expand. All 8 schools would need to be totally convinced that there is no shot in order to extend the GOR. Otherwise, if Cincy and UCF say "No deal without a GOR," then we say fine and go invite Boise State instead, or Memphis, or someone else who really isn't that much different than them.
The key business point that everybody is forgetting: as long as the college playoff stays at 4 teams, the expansion is checkmated, especially for the SEC.All of this alliance stuff has me curious about one thing: The SEC. Nothing would make them happier than to rip apart this alliance. I am guessing (purely conjecture), that the SEC is going to throw everything they can at USC and Clemson. That would gut the alliance. They won't care about some 15 year grant of rights with the ACC. They are printing money.
