How can you not know that? It's a big-time league full of programs with so much media value. Just brimming with value. Just wait when LA no longer has beaches and other stuff to do then people will go to the games and start watching.

I'm getting giddy thinking about THE ALLIANCE. Just imagine UCLA vs. Nebraska. I know the teams are struggling a bit, but we're talking about two absolute blue bloods.

If the Lakers and Dodgers didn’t exist CFB would be like the fifth or sixth most popular sports events/teams during the fall behind the Rams, Clippers, Kings and the two MLS teams.

That's a little bold. I'm sure there were some BMX, skateboarding, beach volleyball, and big time competitive tattoo events that are more popular than UCLA football. But point taken, UCLA football is still big-time and loaded with value. If any other school had to compete with high-level parkour for eyeballs they would be screwed.

Apparently people didn't go to the game because of COVID restrictions. That's also why Bruin fans didn't watch last year on TV when COVID restrictions in SoCal were even more strict and they could barely leave their house. You'd think that would be a perfect opportunity for them to watch games on TV with everything shut down, but just the thought of having beaches was too much of a distraction to watch UCLA football, despite its incredible brand and value.

SO. MUCH. VALUE.

Unless USC is legit. They're very popular when that is the case.

Just going down the AP Top 25 list....

Cincy- decent, but haven't really proven they can beat anyone that good.
UNC
Wisky
USC
Indiana- didn't beat anyone last year
Iowa- didn't beat anyone last year- QB isn't good
Penn State- uh... wut??
Texas- way overrated every single year
Coastal Carolina- fluke last year

Mine is UNC. Bold prediction: they don’t make it to the ACC Title game against Clemson.

Neb (favored to beat illnois? come on!)
Miami
Texas
toe
Oregon

I don't think UNC is great... but acc is BAD and ND is non-conf opponent this year. They beat miami by 36 last year. I live in NC now and go to some of their games, so maybe I am biased. But, Mac Brown is turning them around. Again, I don't think they are great, but they are best of the rest in the acc. Clemson will sleep walk to a title (again) after losing to uga in the opener.

I fully acknowledge that it may be wishful thinking, but I do think that the ingredients are there for an Iowa down year. Kirk Ferentz' age could catch up to him, the racism issue could be a factor, they have a very iffy QB, and as mentioned here, they really beat no one last year. Maybe this is the year that makes him decide to retire and turn the keys over to Brian, which I would love to see.

Hate to say it...but its us

On paper we aren't overrated at all.

Finished 9th last year and bring back virtually everyone. Nobody has more preseason All-Americans than ISU.

So 7th is not overrated based on all of that. Now it's time to show that we deserved that ranking though.

COVID restrictions must’ve been looser for the MLS game, which probably had more fans in a stadium 1/3 of the size.

Iowa. "they finished strong last season" They beat a bunch of garbage teams.

Also every pac12 team.

Totally agree on Iowa. They never did beat a team with a winning record and lost to one with a losing record, not to mention they have a garbage QB. Sounds like the makings of an overrated team coming into this year to me.
