I actually love that. Look at the areas of recruiting opened up. It adds Ohio and Florida. Yes, yes and yes please.
Your graph has Baylor going west? If so, my thinking is that they would send us west and Baylor going east with Houston.

I've very torn about this. Not sure if anyone has talked about it but who would you guys want to see to expand further?https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cb...discussed-as-future-conference-additions/amp/
Been to a game there. Not great tailgating but love the stadium.
UC is urban, concentrated, and limited on space. Nippert is about as “on-campus” as an on-campus stadium can get. It sits smack dab in the middle of and directly next to academic buildings. Other than temporary fences erected on game day, there’s no barrier to entry.
The student union sits no more than 50 feet from the west side of Nippert. In fact tickets are taken at the basement door, just outside the pub.
Nippert’s upper deck on the south side is literally bisected by an historic building, the Dieterle Vocal Arts Center. It was funded by a nippert relative so chances of that being torn down for more seating is nil.
The north side has little seating and is an entrance to campus dining and the rec center.
The east side has the lindner center hovering over it. The university hired star architects for many of its buildings, and this particular one insisted on that site.
Point is, while seats can be added, Nippert is very much landlocked. And a lot of people don’t want to mess with a stadium they love.
I hope not. I really want to be in the same division as Cinci as it would help CMC pull more kids from Ohio. Florida would be nice but not a must.Your graph has Baylor going west? If so, my thinking is that they would send us west and Baylor going east with Houston.

I like Nippert as it is. Maybe arrangements can be made for one or two big games a year to be held at Paul Brown Stadium, but even if it could be expanded, it doesn't sound like it would be economical or practical given the need to cram a whole bunch more people into a tight space. The good news is, having a smaller stadium does not impact revenue as much as one might think, provided you are good at football. The value of a ticket will go up.
I misread your initial response. I think Surly's pic had:I was basing my opinion on who we are closest with. In the east it is Cinci. KU and KSU I think are both closer. And it wouldn't make much sense having just one Texas school go east. Just MHO.
I would have no objection that that, but I see no reason that CU, UU, AU and ASU would leave the PAC12 unless they got a TERRIBLE deal. Plus having two teams in Arizona and Utah doesn't broaden our footprint. How about in 3-4 years taking Colorado, Utah, Arizona and Arizona St from the PAC12. That leaves the PAC12 with their original 8: USC, UCLA, Cal, Stanford, Oregon, Oregon St, Washington and Washington St
I kind of like that.I've very torn about this.
I like Memphis but we can't add just one team AND I think the PAC 12 is in just as much trouble as we were, but we've eaten up most of the good teams so if USC & Oregon go to the B1G that leaves their "Angry 10" hanging. (And if they get a bad TV deal, all bets are off)
Looking at the map posted earlier it would be nice to have four pods:
ISU, KSU, KU, OSU
UCF, WVU, UC, (MEM)
TT, TCU, BU, UH
BYU, (UCLA or ?), (AU or ASU), (Washington or ?)
That would add Tennessee, California, Washington and Arizona to the conference.
So jumping now and settling for BSU or waiting for a better deal is a tough call.

The Pac 12 media deals ends at the end of the 2023 season. If the PAC12 doesn't get any teams into the playoffs this year or next; they only have one or two teams in the final top 25 each year and attendance continues to slide at all of their schools; then they might get a lowball offer.I would have no objection that that, but I see no reason that CU, UU, AU and ASU would leave the PAC12 unless they got a TERRIBLE deal. Could you imagine if the Pac gets a worse deal than us and we pluck teams from them. Say Colorado comes back, then the Arizona schools and maybe someone else. The Pac 12 media deals ends at the end of the 2023 season. If I was the Big XII I think I would wait before extending two or four more offers to see what happens with the PAC12. The Big XII is now stable. The Big XII can wait a couple years before offering Memphis and Boise.
I'm sure I reflect the feelings of most now, just dang relieved that the B12 has expanded with the Angry 8 being at the core, remaining together. Going to the P12 with oSu made no sense to me as a K-State fan. Losing Farmeggedon to say nothing for the Ku rivalry would have been horrible. Now, we can look forward to stability, solid football, awesome basketball, and perhaps finding financials that are respectable.
