This game is a great example of why the P12 is in trouble. Our diehards had trouble staying up for this one, why would any casual fan do the same?
I wonder if they could solve some of that by just starting 1 hour earlier, 6:30 PST? That would only be 8:30 CST. Still a late game for the Pacific West but not a late, late, late game for Midwesterners. Especially for games involving Midwestern teams.
I suppose they could then do what they want with their Pacific time zone teams.
CBSSN had 4 games yesterday.
The only solutions to not starting at 7:30 PT were to (1) move the rest of the games up an hour also or (2) just not be on TV.
I think the PAC are trying some new things this year, in a effort to improve their ratings. Not sure what they all are that are different, other than just "hope".
They might have think outside the box and/or be more creative in order to get their ratings up. Media providers are watching, that's for sure.
I walked to The Jack for the Iowa game with two Wolverine fans decked out in Michigan blue. So, it's not just Hok fans who wear irrelevant colors in stadiums. But at least they were cheering for the good guys!
