CMC comments at post game presser were interesting, one of the last questions, he said anyone who criticized Purdy early in the season should look in the mirror and try to be more grateful. In a way I think he was giving a preview of the future, if fans get to chirpy in the down years he may teach us a lesson. As long as Jamie stays, his wife is happy here, and cyclone fans stay in line he will probably stick around till the kids are older. At the same time though Iowa fans have tried to run Ferentz out of town a few times and he just is one stubborn man and will not leave, so maybe CMC goes that direction. CMC loves to climb the hard way up the mountain, I think that rules out OSU and the NFL tbh, I would think Notre Dame is the one we need to be worried about.
Very nice reply. I was genuinely surprised to not see his name mentioned for the LSU job. Dantonio stayed for alot of those reasons and the only job he would have been interested in was OSU. Plus once he got legend status at the school (for the worse in my opinion) he wasn't going anywhere similar to izzo.
If tucker bolts for LSU I understand because its probably a top 5 job just with insane expectations and tucker has never stayed anywhere for long.
When he leaves I am sure we will offer CMC again and he would probably turn the offer down again but there are reasons he would consider it at least.
I know what you are getting at and I don't think it would be a problem at all. It all comes down to football and winning games.

It all comes down to winning games if you already have the job. There's significantly more to it when you're talking about getting offered the job in the first place

whats the difference between Illinois, Purdue, Minnesota or Michigan State as far as a football coaching destination? Colors are about the only difference. All of them are nondescript middling big ten schools.

In this what if scenario I feel like need to take every opportunity to continue to promote Nate and clearly Campbell realizes that giving him Run game coordinator while also taking running back and wr coach titles. I’m sure schools are already sniffing around him and we need to keep him as long as possible .

I don't think USC is an overly liberal University. Maybe the administration a little. Their alums are some of the most elitist pricks you'll ever meet in your life. It's nothing like Berkley or any of the public schools. I actually think SC has somewhat of a reputation of being more of a moderate conservative college.
My grandparents got me car shaped soaps one Christmas. Clothes would have been an upgrade.
Franklin must be losing steam. He's at 17/2 now. Fickel and Fleck are both 13/2, Cristobal 7/1, and Urb and Campbell are at 15/2.
