I think more incompetance than rigged.
And some bad calls on both sides.

Last week ISU got the call to go their way, this week it went against. Last week I said that OSU should not have put themselves in a position to depend on an officials call. This week ISU should not have given up 38 points to put themselves in a position to be impacted by an officials call.

Not a good idea to depend on calls of part time employee's to help you decide success or failure of a game.

Conferences really need to look long and hard at full time officials, and pay them as such. And then actually have reviews and establish pay scale based on how well they grade out.

I think only in the sport of football both pro and college are officials part time employees

I agree that the defensive performance is the biggest reason this game was close -- obviously we had very little go our way (besides the random pi calls), but I think if we played decent defense, the game wouldn't have been close even with the bad officiating

should have done a better job not putting the officials/replay official in a position to make a call

Rose plays, we win.

I really am disappointed with our depth at that position. They got bullied today.

I thought their whole production was amateur hour. Plenty of big plays they never replayed, bad camera/production work.
agreed -- had it muted

I liked weeden as a player (at oklahoma state) but he's a pretty bad commentator

regular production was bad too -- iirc they were showing up the wrong stats for players

He's no good, but the play-by-play was worse. Apparently she normally does SEC volleyball games lmao

It’s beyond just a this is the way it is at this point. These kids work too hard to have it be taken away from them. It’s a motherfucking joke.
The defense didn't work very hard today.

Oh ok. Fair. No reason for them to have sound officiating then.
The officiating was bad, but that happens sometimes. It's not some conspiracy. Lets nit forget that same officiating crew took a huge play off the board for WVU and ISU had a pick six right after that. ISU had plenty of luck go right for them today too. The defense was awful today and the reason they lost.

It has something that has plagued college football for years, team plays bad officials also have bad game. Team plays good, officials also manage to have a great game. :) Its uncanny how that works

I agree the defense didn’t play well. We did have one call go our way. Clearly many more went their way. You can’t tell me that there is just no place for accountability for officials and that people should think that what happened was just an “it is what it is” thing. Why play the game then if the rules are actually just suggestions?

I texted my mom after the first non-TD stood that you may as well walk off the field then because no shot would the game be called anything close to well, there were definitely more bad calls coming. Unfortunately we've all seen it before, too.

so my thoughts so far

1. foot down wvu -- hard for me to tell (don't hate stands, but I don't really see his foot touch either) -- edit: saw another replay here, and I'm pretty sure his foot didn't touch -- bad call
2. delay of game touchdown

delay.PNG
they probably go for a field goal if refs aren't asleep here (4th and 3 to 4th and 8)

3. breece looks down to me (knee and elbow) but it is close -- also I guess they signaled touchdown but then changed the call on the field to fumble before review
4. brock first down -- I can't tell if his left knee is down or not -- there's a bad angle and isu player+ official obstruct view -- we somehow go from 48 seconds to 4 seconds after that play

it's just bizarre that zero of these would go our way and the replay official wouldn't at least phone down a review for that brock first down (being such a critical play in the game)
