Couldn't you just put the food outside? Might not work for frozen stuff?

My mindset is that I'm more worried about warmth/pipes freezing if there is an extended power outage, but maybe that's unwarranted.
The best thing to do is leave your fridge/freezer shut. It can keep things cold enough provided the power hasn't been off too long. There is a food safety trick during hurricanes where you freeze a glass of water and put a quarter on top of the ice. If the quarter is still on top after the power comes back, your food is probably safe to use.

Pipes should be fine unless we are talking a long period of time without power during extreme cold weather. Even then, if you just crack the faucet a tiny bit to allow a trickle of water to flow, it reduces the risk.

Frankie says we're effed.

The pregnant pause to start the video really sets the table nicely.

This has been extremely hyped up as a major event.

This is my fear that those that don't get affected as bad or it doesn't end up producing high end tornadoes and damage that ends up as kind of meh that was overblown complex.

Things we have going for us. Crops are out, and well that's about it.

Trees being bare of leaves is a huge positive. That's got to reduce the wind load on a tree by 2-3x I would think.
