The pole shift is accelerating. This is what we can expect, by the end of this decade it will be apparent that Iowa is well on its way to becoming nearly a tropical climate. The question is what the Mississippi river does as far as where the coastline will end up.
Magnetic poles are always moving. But the earth doesn’t rotate differently as the magnetic poles change. If it did, Ames would have a very different latitude/longitude than it did 100 years ago (and even 20 years ago)

Looks like it’s bowing where the line will
Hit the metro. Not sure if that’s good or bad. Less tornado threat, higher SLW potential.
