That happened a couple of years ago here in central Iowa when we went outside and saw that reddish looking spots where the rain had dried on the cars and sidewalks.

Yeah that came up from big storms near Lubbock.

It's been done raining heavy here in Waukee for nearly 15 minutes and the sirens just went off again. Must have them on a timer or something..

Probably like Ankeny where they keep going off for >70MPH gusts, or so they say.

I think they're just cycling them on and off, not tied to any specific event. Hope this doesn't continue if these wind gusts stay at 70+ well into the evening.
