I love the way Young played, but rolling the dice on finding another school willing to take a chance on a kid with red flags is risky.

Yeah, ISU took the risk and the blowback. At this point, he’s cleaned his image due to his time at ISU, where the worst thing he did was pick up a couple of targeting penalties.

I honestly was not aware of that. That being said, hopefully he has grown up.
I think he did and understood the opportunity he almost threw away. That's why him transferring surprised me so much. We'll have to wait and see how this plays out.
Can players go into the portal and then change their minds and stay? Just wondering if that happens. I could see a guy going into the portal and not getting the interest they expected, and change their minds. Young is a guy that I would think would be snatched up pretty quickly, but what do I know.
Isheem got arrested in high school but judging off how he has conducted himself on social media and on the field for us, he has grown up a ton. I know he has a son that I believe lives back where he is from so I wouldn’t doubt he wants to find somewhere closer to him. Cant blame him for that. He’s a great player and will find a place to play

With the way Freyler was playing down the stretch and how he played in bowl game, I doubt that happens..
You can change your mind, but the school is under no obligation to take you back. A good player might be welcomed back more often than not.
I suspect, however, that we don’t hear about the hundreds of players who change their minds only to find out that their teams have moved on.
Sure, especially if you are a walkon basketball player at Iowa. Hell, they will even give you a scholly to keep you from leaving.
