Think it's fair to say that winning the "conference" bowl competition becomes more and more meaningless every year.
Now with the early signing period, kids jump into the portal, coaches feel they have to leave early to go sign a good class at their new school, more and more players are opting out each successive year, COVID sit-outs, etc.....
Other than CFP, you have a lot of 2nd and 3rd stringers playing these bowl games. Still fun to watch, but I don't think it's fair to say SEC is overrated or really judge any conference by these bowl game results. I wish it was still my entire team against your entire team, but that will never happen now.
