***2021-22 Bowl Games Discussion Thread***

During the GatorBowl, they put up a graphic with current bowl results and mention how the SEC dominated the bowl season last year. JFC, they are relentless with their narrative. The B12 swept their bowls and won the 2021 Bowl challenge. No mention of it of course. Feel free to correct the color commentator via Twitter.

Think it's fair to say that winning the "conference" bowl competition becomes more and more meaningless every year.
Now with the early signing period, kids jump into the portal, coaches feel they have to leave early to go sign a good class at their new school, more and more players are opting out each successive year, COVID sit-outs, etc.....
Other than CFP, you have a lot of 2nd and 3rd stringers playing these bowl games. Still fun to watch, but I don't think it's fair to say SEC is overrated or really judge any conference by these bowl game results. I wish it was still my entire team against your entire team, but that will never happen now.

Too bad ISU sucked in '06, and pissed away a couple of games in '09. Otherwise, you'd have already gotten your wish.

I think ISU needs to go to the two point stance on the o-line. Watching this Bama drive, we'll never have another false start penalty again!
Yep…. unless Cinci figures something out on defense, dis is going to be ugly.
BUT, I’m glad that a G5 team is getting a shot at least. If they fall flat on their face and get stomped, then don’t expect to see another G5 ever get a shot unless the playoff expands.

Don't forget they almost beat Georgia in the Peach last year. Think they'll put up a fight and keep it relatively close, but Bama's athletes will be too much in the end (kinda like our bowl).
