I know people hate on Bama because they are good every year and have the top talent. But numerous times in this game the Bama players have shown they pay attention to the scout and do what they are coached to do (all the batted balls because they were coached to watch for the quick throws and that last 4th down play were the blitzing safety knew to play the run pass option).
I think most of the hate is at the system protecting Bama and the rest of the SEC leeching off their excellence.

But we are watching one of the greatest dynasties in sports. What they do with the talent is crazy. They're what you get when you have a blue-collar, 5-star culture development program in combination with elite recruiting. They get everyone's best, so the fact they very, very rarely have poor execution and games in which they don't show up is incredible.

Clemson in the title game a couple years ago is the one time they didn't

And it’s horrible for the sport.

Agree…. this game has been extremely boring to watch, but I can’t say that it for sure would have been any more exciting with any other opponent either?

Like I said, Cinci is doing better than Georgia did.

Alabama could have not thrown a single pass and the score would likely be the same. They're just really freaking good.

Bama could have just run the ball every play in this game and won going away, but that wouldn’t have been the best way to prepare for their next game.

Saban would never put up with all of ISU’s critical self imposed stupid mistakes and horrible play calling.
I get what you're saying- you wont' find Bama too often being top-15 or top-20 in advanced metrics but go 7-6. I doubt you'd see a 4 year starting QB bat a ball to the defender like Purdy.

It is a completely different job though- they don't want the game muddied up and reduced to a handful of plays. Their mistakes are less impactful to the game. When they miss on something like what should be a TD like Purdy did with Chase Allen, they likely have the talent to have another great opportunity.
