BracketWAG, a decent expert on brackets, kept ISU an 8 seed even after this loss which is mindboggling to me. But he said we have 'too much good' on the resume to drop us.

It's not a bad loss. Everyone is getting hung up by how bad they looked on offense, but it's still just one game in a seasons worth of data.

Agreed. But a 6 seed is basically unattainable now unless we win at Baylor + 1 in KC or 2 in KC all plus a few 6/7 seeded teams around us losing early in their tournaments. Which it is what it is...being solidly in the tourney this year is crazy.

And his stupid sayings are just cringey. I hate him.

It honestly is just weird. I bet he has something where he schedules tweets and just types up like 10 of them in the morning and then they post throughout the day randomly.

Honestly it’s easier to just enjoy the ride with this group and appreciate where we’ve come, with our talent level it’s amazing we will be a tournament team...honestly even if we somehow got a 6 seed I think we would be underdogs to an 11...I am usually with you on trying to avoid 8/9 but I will be pleasantly surprised if we win a game in the dance and absolutely shocked if we won 2...the offense is just way too inconsistent

Exactly don’t want that number 1 seed in second round. In all reality though, idc who we play we can either beat any single team in the tournament or lose to every single team. This team can be a solid sweet 16 team or lose first rd to anyone lol
Agree. totally depends on the matchup.

We want someone that does not have a bunch of big, athletic, but unskilled guards. We probably want someone playing Hoiball.

Even as frustrating as last night was, this is where I'm at mentally, or at least trying to get to. The seed for us really doesn't matter. If we play like we can, we'll win first round, but if we play like we did last night or against TCU in Hilton, we'll lose and the potential 2nd round opponent is a nothing burger. It would be a nice feather in the cap to put a S16 run on the resume for this season, but I don't trust our offense enough that I'd pick us beyond one round regardless of the draw.

I'm there mentally as well when it comes to wins and losses. With this team you can't get too high or too low.

However, I will say last nights 36 points is frustrating as hell. We lose that game 60-56, ehh whatever. I'd chalk it up to below avg offense. Last night was 20 less than that!!
People around the country definitely took notice of the game last night.

So Palm kept us as a 6 seed even after the loss. I think what we're seeing is that our resume despite the **** losses to Okie State and TCU is too good compared to teams below us.

This is wrong. One win and we're a contender for a 6 seed, 7 at the very worst.

People aren't really looking at the resumes around us in the seed line. We have a strong resume. We don't need a ton of teams to lose around us. That's already happening.

We won't drop to a 10.

It's 6-9 at this point, and more likely 6-8.

TCU isn't a bad loss. We don't have any bad losses. We have bad metrics because we usually win close or lose ugly.

K State at home, Ok St at home, and @WVU are our worst losses and they're Q2

Totally agree. When discussions revolve around us losing two more games and falling out, those discussions also need to note that for us to fall out, there are 13-17 teams below us on seed lines that would somehow all need to go undefeated / deep into their conference tournaments. That's just not going to happen. We likely won't fall below an 8 seed even.

FWIW CBS still has us as a 6 seed after last night. I know Palm isn't very good at it but I think he's valuing our wins more than others do.
