The officiating was questionable down the stretch but both Brockington and Conditt missed the front end of one and ones with the score tied 62-62 with under 6 minutes. That’s my struggle with always blaming the refs. There’s always missed opportunities that refs didn’t cause. We had chances to close it out but couldn’t. Ultimately, 29-4 is a long way to come back from.

And Kunc and Brockington missed two wide open threes. We absolutely could've won that game.

I think it's hard to overstate how difficult it is to fight through probably the worst 27 minute offensive stretch in Iowa State history and come back to take the lead. They had to create their own momentum, and in doing so, I think they may have found something for the way forward.

I think the big deficit made them take chances that they hadn't been taking, driving lanes that they had passed up before and firing passes into tight windows. Strangely enough, the abandonment of careful basketball actually led to far less turnovers than careful basketball had been getting them.

Aggressive and decisive. We need that going forward. If they do that along with their customary defense, they can still make some noise this year.

Hunter and Brockington combined to be 5-20 shooting and we came back at Baylor when we were down by 20 something. Amazing effort. If we could get 75% of tonight's Gabe but more consistently this team would have won a few more games. Amazing game from him

Taking my post to the extreme much? Who said anything about UNI? Not every team above .500 deserves to be in either. I’m talking about teams like SDSU and say Murray state. Undefeated in their conference (yes I know it’s a mid major) and not a lock for the tourney. Pretty hard to go undefeated in conference play these days in any conference as we see with Gonzaga who I’m my opinion plays in a trash conference and they couldn’t even do it as “one of the best teams in the country”. In the big 12 almost every game you play is a chance at a Quad 1 win. Not all but almost. Most teams in the country don’t get a chance to play a team each night that a computer and some others have seemed are good. So trust me I have done my homework.

I would’ve rather had somewhat close to a .500 record in conference play, but I believe we are in the dance regardless of what happens next Thursday. Problem is we’re probably a 10 seed. Put it to you this way, we’re limping with her to the dance. lol. But, once you get there it’s a brand new season!

No way we are a 10 seed. 9 at the very worst. And how are we limping? Losing on the road to #3 in the country by 7? Wednesday was a sh!tshow I'll give you that, but prior to that had won four games straight. Recency bias is a huge issue for some of you.

Personally I’m very proud of what we accomplished so far with a new coach and all the new comers who have never played with each other and to win 20 games and maybe more in year one is very encouraging. Yeah the other night sucked eggs on offense, flush it new season starts with conference tournament and the dance.

Honestly, I think we're pretty solidly on the 7 seed line. We could still get a 6 seed too.

The Baylor game helps us even in losing. Another Quad 1, and playing against a potential 1seed on the road.

I was hoping we would spring the Upset of all UPSET's....but alas it did not happen. Well its been a great season in comparison with the last two prohm seasons...TJ needs a lot of credit for getting us this far...On to Kansas City and hopefully we beat the tar out of the Red Raiders!
and remember ... "GO CYCLONES!"

I know I'm not the only one to make this observation, but Brockington looks really tired the last couple games. He's been short on a lot of shots that were automatic earlier in the season, and just doesn't quite have the explosiveness to get his shot every time he wants it.

Obviously I want us to play three games in the Big XII tourney, but on the other hand a seven day break before the NCAA tournament might not be the worst thing in the world for this team.

Team overall on Sr night looked a lot like the team prior to tge 4 gm win streak. Gassed. Confident in their ability to regroup and likewise, feel like 1 win would be great but rest may be better than a big12 tourney run.

I was watching at a friend's house, and we started playing a board game. Just too depressing but we kept it on. My wife was like, "get it to 10 by half, and I'll be feeling good". Man that second half was fun.
