Ouch...nice little dig toward KSU fans:

"The negativity that surrounds K-State times is really sad to me," Weber said. "This is the only school I've been associated with that I tell our recruits to avoid our social media. I'm afraid of what they'll see. Hopefully that can change, maybe with the new coach, and everybody can be positive about K-State and K-State athletics."

That is a little rough and unfair imho.

His previous Illinois "fans" barely notice they have an athletic program unless they make a Final Four. It would be an easy job in that respect compared to KSU fans who follow the team regardless of how hot or cold they are.

You guys simply don't understand what a good dude Bruce Weber is and why he would not set the school up. Everyone who knew him believed he would step down before ever being forced out. He's a decent person.
Weber and our Bill Fennelly are very close friends. Fennelly always speaks very highy, almost in reverential terms, of Weber.

Always hated his standing on the court and he seemed quirky but never had any issues with Webber for his general antics etc.

Bummer he's gone but love his dig on the way out.

Is there any other profession where people think an employee shouldn't take what they contractually agreed to?
