A little disappointed it didn’t work out for Rojas going for 3. Another loss to Barr in a just a few weeks. Same story couldn’t score. Visions of Devine honestly.

His Twitter page has a pic he posted Thursday from a workout with the Jesuroga boys at Sebolt's facility. Any chance he shows up at Night of Conflict tonight in a surprise/unannounced matchup? Ryder Block's opponent had to cancel.....a number of other guys shifted weights too and I'm sure they'd find a mutually-agreed upon weight if both guys were up for it.

Or maybe just wanted to stop in at Sebolt to scrap a bit before his rematch on 3/16 with Jesse Mendez

So who wrestles 174 next year?
I mean Barr has run a clinic on how to beat Rojas. Manny pinned his way to the finals outside of that match. I think he’ll be fine, just needs a little more tuning. I think he’ll be a guy that needs to find an ideal weight to thrive. Not like a Carr who I think would succeed anywhere.

It wouldn't surprise me if Rojas red shirts next year

Agree. I think using David as a comp to anyone isn’t fair to the other kid. Rojas will be fine. He’ll take his lumps maybe but we know kids for the most part grow leaps and bounds in Dressers system. Which is why I think we need to be a little less hard on Kysen. He’s only in year two and has shown a lot of promise but he’s young still. If he AA or gets to the BR then that’s awesome. If he doesn’t, that’s ok too. He will only get better.

They are so different there is no correlation. Devine is not athletic and that is why he struggles. Tries hard but ceiling is not real high. Rojas is super athletic but lacks the find points of angles and opportunities to score. If coaches and Carr teach him the find points of wrestling prior to November he will be the guy from day one and be an AA candidate. Otherwise, they may stay with Broderson or Devine for a year then unleash Rojas.

Get Rojas in the room with Metcalf and his major flaws won’t be around long.

I was impressed as hell watching him in person. You hit the nail on the head

Crazy to hear someone downgrade this kid. I’ve only watched a few matches but color me impressed. Not to mention he took 3rd in the Matmen Open as a high schooler!! This kid has so much potential. That weight in high school loaded with talent right now. Beating a NC in Gerrit Nijenhuis who beat Labriola who beat Kemerer and not having high hopes?! That doesn’t make sense to me.
