I've had decent pulled pork from a crock pot, but it's not even close to smoking it. Like not on the same planet.

put a pork roast on the smoker this morning to make some pulled pork. Smoking it for about 4 hours and then I'll put it in a foil pan to braise it until it is ready.

I've been making 1-2 games per year at best since 2015. Usually it's the home opener, and then senior day if it's after Thanksgiving. Did the Liberty and Alamo Bowls too.

Without UNI as the home opener (wife is UNI alum/fan) I'll probably be closer to home for the Labor Day weekend and grill out and watch with some buddies. Senior Day is November 19th and I'll be picking corn most likely (that's been about the last day of harvest the last 2 seasons).

Talked to Curvey at the Kolache shop this winter, he sold it then it closed, but he said it was a tough go. Covid didn't help it out any.

Not sure when it changed hands, but the last and first time I went there I had a massive takeout order sampling everything and the only thing I wasn't extremely disappointed with was the jalopeno sausage. Brisket looked like they threw a completely untrimmed packer on the fire and said eff it. That being said Coach's Kolache's is incredible.
