These last few years were supposed to be the "we'll see how good a coach Bill Self is without the Adidas help" show......
Who says the Adidas 'help' stopped?

And stop with the no 5 star crap. Your leading scorer in the Nova game was McDAA.

Dang, you completely misunderstood my entire post, impressive.

I was talking about battle tested in the NCAA tournament. I even made the point that KU had a tougher schedule in the big 12 Then their road to the finals.

And I didn’t not knock KU for anything, other than the easy draw that they had. They deserve to be exactly where they are.

UNC didn't exactly run a gauntlet to get where they are either. They beat a 15 to get to the FF. Thems the breaks. All either team can do is beat who they draw and they've both done that. They're playing their best ball at the right time.

And you said they are more battle tested than KU in the post I quoted. Not sure how I misunderstood that.

He was a McD's AA because he went to Oak Hill, period. 100% political. Seriously, find me one other player on that MCD's AA roster who is still playing college basketball? McCormack is literally the only one who wasn't good enough to go pro already. Everyother player on that roster has already played professionally.

Looked pretty damn good against Nova. If KU couldn't get dominating performance out him until now, it sounds like a coaching issue.

Self should try to win with transfers from Denver.

Lol no. Self is one of the top coaches, even though he’s also a cheater.

I would find a nice 10-15 point win to be very entertaining. KU beat Mova by16 and that game was very fun to watch.

Not sure what you mean by "considering the recruits you typically get every year". This KU squad has zero five star recruits. It's two local kids in Agbaji and Braun, a skinny sub 100s ranked kid we poached from Mizzou's back yard in Harris, a McD's AA who needed to drop 40 pounds and who has universally derided for his erratic play over 4 disappointing seasons in McCormack and a kid we only got last second because of a coach leaving his job in Wilson.

I find this particular KU very easy to cheer for. Braun has a local rep as a kid who thinks he's "all that" but the rest are all genuinely nice kids who are easy to root for. Still can't believe they play for a title tomorrow. Of all the KU teams, this one? Crazy year.
The recruits Ku gets every year are top notch. That is why you are a blue blood BB school. Perhaps this year it is less than the usual top tier. Surely you can understand a fan of a competitor school saying this. Does it surprise you that others think you get the cream of the crop in recruits nearly every year? Maybe not. You are a Ku fan and are used to it. Entitlement. I will admit Coach Self has done a very good job this year in particular.

This is hard for me to say because I am not a Ku fan. For a number of reasons. I am rooting for you though as you are a fellow Big 12 school. So there you have it.

North Carolina will be a tough out. Especially if their center is healthy enough to play fairly well (sprained ankle). They are coming together at just the right time. Go big 12.

I'm thinking tonight's game should be pretty good. Hoping for a KU win because they are in the B12

I understand that people make uninformed assumptions about KU's recent recruiting classes and that because I pay a lot more attention to the team I am more aware of the reality of it. It isn't entitlement; it's just awareness.

Every team starts the season with "win a national title" on their checklist of goals but only two teams survive the gauntlet to actually compete to make that goal an accomplishment. I am happy that Kansas has survived so far and I like the mindset of the team from what I have seen so far. Carolina will be yet another huge challenge. Saturday was a good match up for matchup-dependent David McCormack; tonight is probably not. Others are going to have to be sharp to backfill that production. Maybe it's Jalen Wilson tonight, Mr. Clean Up. The more consistently aggressive team who avoids shooting themselves in the foot will win tonight. I hope that is Kansas. Either way, it's been a heck of a run. Fingers crossed for one more.

There are a couple still playing and several who probably shouldn't have left early because they went undrafted.

UNC committed over 20 turnovers their last matchup v. A Big Xll defense but pulled out a win because Baylor missed 28 3P attempts. They better tighten up their ball control because I doubt Kansas missed that much.
No reason to argue with the morally bankrupt.
Well and because Baylor is not the same team it was say in January. No Cryer or JTT and Flagler wasn't 100%. I think if Baylor was 100% it is probably Baylor KU right now.

Yeah, I'd like to see Kansas go 20 years without signing one McDAA (like us) and see what it does to his 'awareness'.
Self has done a great job developing guys who were lower than McD's All Americans in HS. Frankly, I'd like to see KU focus more on guys outside the Top 20 and develop them. Talent + experience is what performs the best for Self's system. His teams that have struggled the most have typically been the ones that had freshmen starting.

Agree. And true for any Big12 team.

Injuries have shaped who does and doesn't make a deep run forever. Niang's injury, Embiid's injury, Azubuike's injury. So many "what could have been" stories out there. It's what makes a deep run so much more than just winning 4+ in a row. This is an unexpectedly special season for sure.

Good luck to Ku tonight. Go Big 12.

Just a thought on your 'signature'. "A special congrats to Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas State for their incredible accomplishments of co-Big 12 champions in 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2013. Better?" It is quite frankly another example of Ku entitlement IMO. You are congratulating Ou, TX and K-St sarcastically. Fine whatever but you are flaunting the greatness of Ku. It honestly makes me throw up a little in my mouth. What do I care on a Cyclone message board. Ku has so many advantages and history. Jeez get over yourself.

If you want people to think differently of Ku or you personally you might not want to rub it in.

We will see come game time but they were showing Bacot in early warm-ups and he didn't look to be moving too well.
