You’re sitting in “old hillside” currently.
I get that these are where you chose but as others have mentioned the seats in these newly opened sections that those displaced will be able to choose from are considered to be “better” or more premium since there is a donation and additional expense required for sitting in similar sections/seats on the opposite side of the stadium.

“Better” is in the eye of the beholder. I’ve sat lower level goal line on the east side and moved for a reason.

Why do you want to keep telling someone their seating preference is wrong? Value is in the eye of the seat holder.

Not interested in sitting in old student section. Sat in SE for a reason. Just asking if anyone has heard if
refunds will be available since this was pulled after renewals.
Damn man, it’s not like the bleacher seating is comfier in the corner of the stadium.

Understandable and you’re right. It shouldn’t matter to me if someone who is impacted says they don’t like the change for any reason. If they don’t like it because they simply don’t like change that’s their choice and opinion.

I did say considered to be “better” just based on the value the seat map puts on it and not the individual ticket holder.

I also understand that it was a mistake to attempt to have dialogue/debate on a message board instead of discussing this with people who have a different opinion on the change than I do in person.

I'm aware it's "old hillside" i've had season tickets since 1998 and have been at every home game since. Just not willing to be forced to move to a section I don't consider "better" and then be squeezed for more money next year ( if not this year) because those seats won't stay available without additional expense.

Have you seen the cyclone club donations vs our conference peers? Brutal. Frankly it is disgusting the amount of fb tickets that don’t require a donation.
Did you read what I was responding to? The guy said there will be no financial gain in doing this - it is all about safety. We all know that isn't true and I was demonstrating why.

Please share the response you get to the refund question from the Atheltic Department or ticket office.

Sorry if already discussed, but does this expand the student section? I know they have a lottery for the all sports pack for Freshman. Just wondering if this will allow for more student season tickets?
They do sell football only passes for students, which I've heard has never been an issue for people to get.

Whoever is in the AD on this board, please say you’re moving the band along with the student section. Having that synergy going on between the students and the marching band was one of the best things about going to games as a student.
They just spent tens of thousands of dollars making permanent band seating. They're not moving the band. Plus, why would they put the band in seats that could get sold to fans?

Winner winner. You are a fool to think this is anything more than a way to increase revenue. You are moving students out of $250-$500 donation spots into no donation spots.

I'm all for this move as we need to maximize revenue. We all want to be more competitive and that means raising money. Just don't imply that we are too stupid to see what is really the goal here
$300-$750 donor seats as of this year.

Money is the only reason for the move which is completely understandable. What will be interesting though is how those corner season ticket holders will be moved.
Not looking forward to options and 2023 will be interesting based on the opposite side ticket prices.

Other than Iowa how many visiting bands even travel to Ames? Can't recall many.

I think the ISU band only makes like 1 trip to a visiting team a season (not counting a bowl game).
Boomer Sooner, Boomer Sooner
Boomer Sooner, Boomer Sooner...

How can you NOT remember them coming?
