Just slip a $50 to them on the Spirit walk.Cant be performance based … will have to get creative to tip them.

Will you be crying like a spoiled brat when iowa state isn’t as competitive in sports in the same way people cry and complain about government policies when they don’t vote?
What Universities are actually profiting from athletics? Are there really ADs that have a positive bank account? It seems to me all of the money is put back into the facilities for the athletes, scholarships and facilities for the programs that don't make money. I will continue to put money into the University to continue to build up what will actually improve our team's ability to train, I won't pay a player to play. Every athlete should be able to teach others and get paid for that. They should get royalties on jersey's sold with their number. They should get money from any entity that wants to sell products on their name, image, and likeness. They should not get money from me to play for Iowa State.
Please give to the cyclone club and grid iron club. You’ve been asked.Yeah, they don’t really try to get people to donate. I can think of zero examples of anyone asking me to contribute to athletics. If they did, I probably would have. Hope this opinion helps provide perspective.
I’ve already been harassed for not being willing to donate by a few people already and that was just this week.I think it will turn into a 'why didn't you donate!?' to people that don't when a player leaves, like it would have mattered when it's chump change for other schools/boosters to poach someone.
Before someone says 'but Niang!!'' let's think a little harder about what NFL/NBA superstar alums from other schools will pledge.
Well…we can just point to this thread and get the picture. Please point out these stupid takes.
Non profits aren't required to spend every dollar and can indeed have assets or equity. In the case of most non profits it would be hard to explain to donors why their funds aren't being used for the intented charitable purpose- hunger, education, poverty, etc. They are non profit organizations. You can’t make a profit otherwise you lose your 501c3 status. Even if they had nothing to spend it on, they would find something to spend it on not to jeopardize the status.
To be clear, I’m more than happy to contribute to the collective. I throw away ten dollars a month on the iowa state rivals page and I don’t even visit it. I can give the same amount or more to our athletes. Especially considering I’m out of state and can’t really go the games unless they are in the area or I can make a vacation out of it, I’m more than willing and happy to give them something for their efforts.
You won’t believe me but it’s ok: I’m trying to but can’t figure out how. From the looks of things, donations are tied to season ticket purchases which I have no interest in doing as I live out of state. It’s no wonder you only have 450 club members at the 100 dollar level: iowa state makes it very difficult and convoluted to do something simple like make a basic donation for not a ticket. Please give to the cyclone club and grid iron club. You’ve been asked.
Was just going to give you Blair’s number but saw your other post. Welcome and good job.You won’t believe me but it’s ok: I’m trying to but can’t figure out how. There is nothing preventing Athletic Departments from having a profit and setting that money aside for future capital projects, a rainy day fund or how about a novel idea- funding the University General Fund.
Just casually tried to test the interest in mrs cyfan92 in throwing our money into NIL.
She was mad I asked... I believe her quote was "you want to pay 18 year old's with our money... I'd rather our money be given to hungry children"
Looks like I'm out fam..
All you have to do to contribute is put your money in a tin can, go to sips, ask for a guy name slick Carl, tap the can 3 times but don't make eye contact, turn around and walk out. We’re ******.
Haven't read many of the posts on here but I have read some..
NiL is reality now...yes it sucks.. If you cannot afford $10 a month or so as an ISU fan or student to help keep ISU sports relative then stop following ISU sports.
...and her money she's donating to hungry kids probably isn't going to hungry kids.
