The audacity of DJ having to take a drop there. Thought this was the fun league. Just let him throw out another.
I suppose. I just think in a sport where there's plenty to critique I've never sat there and thought "everyone should be playing at the exact same time" before.

Where can you even watch this charade?
I'd imagine things will change as far as presentation from tournament to tournament as they get feedback too.
They didn't have a $4-$8 billion runway. It’s kind of like the USFL/XFL thing. Won’t matter.
I was listening to a few podcasts and the question was "What if it's not that bad?" It's not going to get worse and they've done the hard stuff. Alt Tours have been trying to start for decades and they never got this far. The things that LIV has screwed up are easy fixes and all based around hiring people who know how to do thing like create names and logos that aren't easy to make fun of. A bunch of guys are going to be in Portland and there will be a lot more to follow after this season. The TOUR has a real problem here especially once the "Saudi money" outrage fizzles out. I still lean toward this not being a long term thing, but the more I think about it, the more feasible it becomes considering they have started off pretty well from a talent acquisition standpoint.
The other thing is this provides a model and these guys are all free agents now. What if the Australian Open, for instance decides they are going to fund a $15 million purse and place their tournament opposite Riviera or something? These guys can just add that or anything else to their schedule while that becomes really hard for the TOUR to compete with because they aren't just funding a 48 man field. They're running 150 man fields while also funding the KFT and Champions Tour which aren't money makers. That's not to mention the other feeder tours syphoning money. I kind of thought this was going to be a joke but I think it's going to change the whole professional game and we may be looking at an IRL/CART situation while LIV becomes F1. It's going to be really interesting to watch this all play out.
@nwiacyclonefant Can you name a better threesome out of the LIV field? The Sam Burns/Scottie Scheffler/Cameron Smith pairing at the Canadian open is better than any three that the entire LIV field could put together.
Define "better" because I think TV execs and sponsors would disagree. The Sam Burns/Scottie Scheffler/Cameron Smith pairing at the Canadian open is better than any three that the entire LIV field could put together.
Better golfers, right nowDefine "better" because I think TV execs and sponsors would disagree.
By the FedEx cup standings, the trio I listed are 1/2/3. Phil hasn't been playing, so it's unfair to judge him by that, but he is past his prime by any standard. DJ may be too, as he hasn't been all that good for the last year (rank: 96) with more cuts missed than top 10's. Sergio has had a great career and can still be relevant here and there, but also past his prime. For what it's worth, I am a fan of all three.Granted I'm just a casual golf fan I would say Phil, DJ, Garcia (two or three guys you could probably substitute in there)

Okay, my group is 1, 4 and 9. Highest group in the LIV tournament is 15, 21 and 28The FedEx cup is pointless. It’s an arbitrary point system that changes literally every season. OWGR is way, way better
The PGA Tour has come out swinging
Seriously. WTF is this?
