Notre Dame isn’t going to put their games on ESPN when they can have them on NBC instead. It’s not going to happen.
I think Jimmy Pitaro (President of ESPN) said they are not married to that 3:30p ET slot CBS had for the SEC. Rather whatever window fits best and I know they have talked about doing ABC prime time as the highest profile SEC matchup, which would in theory open up the 3:30 window. ABC shows more than one game on Saturday.

Lol, so in 2013 ESPN agreed to pay the SEC $4 bill for a small amount of media rights, and then in 2020 got exclusive rights for only $3 bill?

The SEC is already collecting ~$600M/yr in TV/radio rights fees.
They're not taking a 50% pay cut. The new $300M is replacing CBS' $55M.
That makes the new total nearly $850M/yr. And since the announcement came well before the Texas/Oklahoma addition, there's a good chance it'll go up from there.
They are all right here. The 300mil per year is espn taking over the CBS game in addition to all the other games they were paying for. So it’s their previous deal with espn, plus an additional 300mil per year after taking over the CBS game. That’s why each SEC school will be in the 60’s-70’s mil per range.

The deal that ESPN and the SEC completed was before they got Texas and OU, that number will go up when those to join the SEC. Now ESPN and the SEC could have been working on the deal knowing that the two B12 schools were going to jump, but if the SEC had it all lined up, they would be silly not to get more money down the road, once the two join the conference
What EIU thinks or does not think about ND does not matter, they are not Ohio St, Michigan and others that are not going to listen to what their opinion about ND joining the league matters. Do you really think that if EIU opposed ND joining that the league would turn them down? The B10 would tell EIU to "shut up, vote YES, and keep collecting your checks!" and EIU would do it.
And it will be interesting when those BIG players decide to go on strike for more money and new corvettes.And the unions....
