The most sensible landing spot for Jimmy G is Seattle, but I doubt SF wants to give a division rival a reasonable deal. And at this point it's easier for SEA to wait for Jimmy to get cut and sign him.Jimmy G passed his physical weeks ago. It's telling they haven't been able to trade him yet. Their decision is to cut or keep. No one is going to trade anything for a guy that is potentially on the open market in four days. So it boils down to what SF really thinks about Trey Lance. They can't bluff their way into a trade this late in camp.
It's also worth noting that SEA plays in SF in week 2, so the 49ers want to wait as long as possible to let Jimmy G join up with the Seahawks in hopes that he doesn't integrate into the offense before then.
