There's only 1 thing Gary Barta is beholden to more than Kirk Ferentz. Donors. When donors start making noise, the program bends. This is why KF released that weird January depth chart after the bowl game back when there was so much noise about Beathard needing to be the starter over Rudock. Hadn't ever been done before, hasn't been done since. They did it to appease the donors. There's zero chance donors would stand for BF being the next HC.

They also did it to appease Beathard's dad. He was vocal about CJ potentially transferring. What's the deal with Hawkeye dads getting so much attention?

Not a bad job by the OP. My only big disagreement is defensive back. If there's cracks I'm not seeing it. A safety walk-on is not unusual for an Iowa defense at all. I think many Iowa fans were pleasantly suprised with Schulte Saturday. It was amazing to see a guy that small hit that violently.
With Jermari Harris back a CB room of Moss, Robert's, Harris, and Dejean who plays all over is as good as probably any team you'll play this year

Merriweather got burned for a potential backbreaker on a pretty basic double move. Even a halfway decent throw changes things early on, seeing as how it likely could have been the game's only TD.

Obviously not hoping/implying it's legal issues related...but it has hints of DJK 2.0

Those complaining about our lack of pass rush last Saturday………I’m not sure what you wanted. We gave up 10 points and showed nothing. We’re we supposed to show most of our blitz packages and other intricacies in order to pitch a shut out? This is how the season works, you sit on stuff you don’t need to show in games that you have control of. What time does a person need to show up to find a spot in the free parking lots? The 1-2 mile walk doesn’t bother me, we did that in Norman last year.

Also, are open containers and small gas’s grills allowed in finkbine or Hancher? Would like to cook a couple brats/burgers for the crew while have a beer or two.

Petras was a 4 star recruit out of high school, so I'm pretty sure the talent is there. I've heard, however, that what he's lacking is confidence.

I watched highlights from Iowa's game yesterday and I was blown away by how loud the booing was in Kinnick. If Petras really is lacking confidence, he has to be at rock bottom right now.
