Washington St and Oregon St are in the mix for worst location, but the liability in Nebraska’s location cannot be overstated. Coaches in basketball and football talk about the 5 hour radius for recruiting. Well that mostly gets Nebraska tumbleweed. Kansas City and the western half of Iowa (where they are struggling against the 2 instate schools) are about it. Compare that to ISU - KC, Minneapolis, Milwaukee and much of Wisconsin, Chicago and much of Ilinois, call St Louis close enough. Nebraska looks more like the Dakota schools than anyone else in the B1G.

What I know is knebraska sucks. All you really need to know about your program. Bottom of weak B1G west. You are now relegated to riding coat tails of blue bloods like ohio state and Michigan. All the other blather of recruiting this and getting that coach are meaningless and have been for 10+ years now.

They moved up to Sun Belt very recently.

Sun Belt is improving as rapidly as any conference I can remember. A little like MWC in late 90s/early 00s but even more drastic and I doubt any of them are getting called up to major conference to break it up like happened to MWC.

I’ve watched 2 of Nebraska’s 3 games and their run defense is VERY bad. No contact or pressure until the back has 4 yards quite frequently. They are going to get shredded by some of the run first teams in Big Ten, some that didn’t even look that good today will grind them into oblivion.
