It was unfortunate then, that during my drive home on Friday, they spent it talking about their top 5 Pixar movies.
That’s a holdover bit from the new producer that Ross fell in love with. Trying to emulate the scheduled bits that work well for Murph and Andy. When The Drive first started the producer was rarely heard from. Now he gets more and more air time and the show has suffered. Some of his other Top 5 topics have been Top 5 colors and Top 5 beverages.

that island napoleon got sent to
It's totally bizarre to just not saying anything about Heather. Gets a new show, hosts a day or two and disappears and they just keep plugging along like nothing's happened. Just weird.

Even if it's just some kind of cryptic statement you'd think someone would say something.

i think thats just how radio shows work.... they usually dont say anything about a person leaving

Yeah I could see that. The problem with the Hawk hosts on KXNO is they are exactly the same as any hawk fan in general- the breadth of their sports knowledge doesn’t span outside of Johnson county. It used to piss me off when Ross would have Stanz, Blum, Tommy Birch, etc on to “talk Cyclones with us” but then would spend over half of that time talking about NBA, MLB, NFL, current topics in sports and so on. Of course that never happened with the hawk guests.
Ross and Downs are both really close to my age and they are a perfect reflection of the Hawk fans that age that grew up in the Fry era. Everything is a back handed comment when it comes to ISU.

I remember catching an early one before the switch and it was top 5 snacks.

I find it really odd how they have made no mention to why Heather has been missing. You'd think if it was a non-work related reason there would be no issue with them saying she had to take some time off for personal obligations or something. She's still listed on the KXNO website for The Drive but the social media silence by her as well as no one with KXNO saying anything is just going to keep leading to speculation until they say something. If 5-0 is on Wednesday and she is not someone should call in and sneak in a question after getting past the call screener and ask where she is and maybe Paul will at least say something.

Kind of weird if there are issues why Paul would still go on the show?

I just don’t know how people listen to any of this garbage anymore with the specialized podcasts that are available today.
It feels a lot like the people who care about what their peers from high school are up to.
