Before anybody freaks out about Baylor being this insane challenge, that BYU team they lost to is getting absolutely shitrocked by Oregon right now 31-7 in the 3rd Qtr. Baylor will be tough. They always are. But we don’t have to be perfect to beat them. Just avoid really dumb/bad mistakes and we will be there with a real chance.
Agreed - but score board comparison is always tricky. We are 100% capable of beating Baylor - should have beat them by rights last year . I just think that the fact that some of the same mistakes are here in week 3 as week 1 is a little concerning. And yes, being such a young team is obviously part of that.

Nice kick!

Loved seeing the young OL guys get in , cook, really like Moore at TE - certainly looks the part and good to see Sanders get those reps

Of course scoreboard comparison is completely worthless and the transitive property in sports doesn’t work. The fact is that Baylor scored 20 and really struggled with BYU while Oregon is making the Cougars look like a joke right now. So the point is it’s not going to have to be an A+ game to beat Baylor. This isn’t like us playing Georgia or Bama. Like every game in this league. Play good solid football and avoid bad mistakes and you can beat anyone.

We shall see if we can do that, but by no means do we have to have a perfect to near perfect day.

Great experience for those young guys - especially on defense. Good win, stuff to work on, wasn't always pretty but its amazing to win 43-10 in a game with mistakes. This team could maybe be really special. Don't want to get carried away but they really could be.

I don't know if its the best defense in school history like Sage said it could be but man, it does look good.

Appreciate it. I value yours as well. This team is a lot of fun to watch - in a weird way I think that's why I get critical in a way. Because you can see the talent, the potential and it has a different feel. I don't want to over hype this group but we're overcoming stuff that doomed us in the past. It makes me think something special might be possible this year.
We have great fans! :)

Totally get that. I'm just a jealous a**hole. I want to go 8-4 or 9-3. I want us to make all the talking heads on ESPN choke on it.

I can appreciate a massive win when we don't play our best or beat a rival in a ugly game on the road with a young team.

I think I look it as a coach. I was a crap HS coach, and was a crap small college coach. Maybe that colors how I look at things. But I did it a bad level for long enough that I have a hard time not seeing it as a coach.

All these guys are obviously way smarter and way more accomplished and know way more about football than I could learn in two million life times. Granted. No argument on my end. But unfortunately - It is how I see things - I see it as coach, or as I feel like a coach would. Again, about as far from a football genius as one can get or I'd still be coaching and woulda made a ton more money. But did it long enough at a semi-competitive level that I have a hard time seeing things just as a fan.

Apologies if that's grating to y'all.
CMC said at halftime that he was disappointed in the sloppy play on the field. He and the coaching staff will work to correct the issues.
