Probably this. Hard to be ranked when you can only muster 10 points against an Iowa team that struggles to score (regardless of where it is).
I also think it becomes harder to vote for teams when you have a unit (STs) that stinks while (simultaneously) not having a unit that blows people away. Right now, due to the quality of the opponents (our defense), that's exactly what we have. Couple that with low preseason expectations and you have to do something to "win" the voters over. We haven't done that yet.
Yeah, we're lacking a really good win right now. Other teams that are ranked or receiving votes just have better wins...or they were preseason ranked and haven't lost. People are not giving us credit for beating iowa because that game was a cluster and everyone thinks that iowa sucks. Other than that, we beat two teams that we should have beat by how much we should have beaten them by.
Beat Baylor and we're top 25 or at least one of the first few receiving votes.
