Listen to Bruns podcast on Iowa Everywhere.

That’s basically a football genius just telling you the total truth vs people who work in broadcasting or for the university or big 12 dancing around what really happened.

He even acknowledges he couldn’t speak truth like that if he was still a broadcaster with the official radio network.

The refs also didn't cause that 3rd quarter to be one of the biggest clusterfucks of the year so far.

3rd quarter was Baylor coming back to tie up the game or maybe take a 3 pt lead.

31-14 only happens because ISU won the first half and they spotted Baylor 14 fake points.

In what universe is winning every single quarter required to win?

Ok, McCarney.

You think ISU was outplayed in first half?

Baylor had this thing handed to them.

Those games where Mac said that was Nebraska or OU beating the crap out of us for a half. This was ISU beating the crap out of Baylor and the refs fixed the damn thing.

Can the B12 look at the refs bank accounts? Would love to see if they have any fanduel or draft king payouts in from this weekend. With the increase in sports gambling the NCAA really needs a tipline where people can report this kind of game fixing activity for them to investigate.

I'm just saying we didn't play very well for good chunks of the game. The refs clearly played a big role, bigger than they should have. Both are true, IMO

We got outplayed for one quarter against a ranked team and the refs spotted them 14. Some of us turn that into an entire game because reality stings more than their mental construct.

Teams win without being perfect every play.

JFC...give it up already.

Did the refs impact the game? Of course. Were they consistent? No. Does all of that suck? Of course.

We also rushed for under 70 yards, half of which came on one run in the middle of the 4th quarter; take that one out and we ran for 29 yards on 26 attempts. Our O-line had 4 or 5 false starts playing in silence at home and gave up 4 sacks. We threw two picks and the defense gave up the most wide open flea-flicker I've ever seen. We gained 19 yards on 12 plays in the third quarter, which we started with the ball only 3 points behind.

No one that watched that game came should think either team beat the crap out of the other.

People are lying to themselves Baylor dominated.

They dominated one quarter. Sorry reality makes you uneasy.

No video, but I'm a regular Tweeter to Dusty of the Dusty and Danny show on ESPNU radio on Mondays. I like their Wow and Pow segment. Dusty always responds. Here was today's.

Or just the fact that 100% of humans are biased and maybe the outcome was fixed without anything to do with gambling. Nobody on this board would be a good official for an ISU game.
So I want to make sure I get your argument right. Your argument is that the refs are biased towards Baylor and therefore decided before the game that they were going to ensure Baylor won?

I think ref bias is a lot more common in sports than actually fixing games. But I doubt it looks like “ok guys, let’s go get ___ that win!”

Some fans just need a excuse to sleep at night because in their head we do no wrong and they think we are a b12 champion team this year so these excuses will make them still believe we are

"when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth'

Fix is impossible.
Incompetence knows no team color.
So what remains........bias?

The ref apologists have this fantasy land where Baylor won because they were sooooooooo much more aggressive.

So how did this most aggressive team in history just happen to not get those kinds of flags yet ISU was getting them left and right.

Baylor played harder for one quarter. ISU played harder and won three but scoreboard only gave them the fourth. That’s game.
Who are the ref apologists here? Because saying “the refs were incompetent” and “Iowa State didn’t do themselves any favors” isn’t being an apologist
