Over the weekend went to KC. Earlier in the week, I had bought a record player so I thought I would check out some vinyl after hitting up a few local drinking establishments. Not a good plan 20221007_204440.jpg
The used ones
Willie Nelson-Redheaded stranger
Waylon Jennings-I've always been crazy

Wait till you impress someone with your collection one night and whip out an Outkast vinyl knowing you only paid 30 bucks for it.

I've given Childers new album a few listens and I'm honest-to-goodness stumped on how I feel about it. It's pretty bold to record 6 songs (with Purgatory really being a re-record) and just produce them in 3 slightly different fashions, and I'm not normally one to like gospel. But I'll be damned if some of them aren't pretty catchy.

I've only had it on a couple times while doing other stuff. When I first looked at the album I was very skeptical but I've definitely enjoyed having it on. Need to sit down and give it a closer listen.

Damn didn't know he had new music. Just a quick listen at the first few songs, it seems like he really changed his style. The instrumental doesn't sound very country/bluegrass

Listening to Low in memory of Mimi Parker's passing.

Was planning to catch them in the quad cities this past Spring, but they ended up canceling due to Mimi's cancer treatments. Just a heartbreaking loss for the Duluth community.

Any of you dig the new Blink song? I’m way bias. Wondering what non-diehards think of it.

Testifying
Went down and Elvin Bishop rabbit hole tonight and ended up with Mickey Thomas. Check out an old Howard Stern segment and a live song just a year ago. Dude can still belt it for sure.
